| Judas is to betray Christ with a kiss.
Giotto like many other artist shows the moment after the kiss. Christ is almost lost from sight in the
midst of the mob and all but covered by the yellow robe of the traitor. But He still stands out because
of the fiery magnificence of his head. Giotto has given him a noble brow and and a even finer straighter
nose than in the other scenes. |
